Let's just relax by the lake

Today, we are introducing one of the best spots to relax and chill out with beautiful scenary of lake Akan and Mt.Oakan.
It is located around "Io-zan river", and is about 3 minutes away from the town by drive, 10 minutes by walking.

Enjoy changes of the scenary depending on time and seasons

The lake Akan is in between Mt.Meakan(mountain of women) and Mt.Oakan(mountain of men), and from this point, you can see Mt.Oakan and the lake right in front.
You can fully feel lake Akan here, and it is nice place to chill out during sunset.
This place also changes its scenary depending on time, weather, and seasons.

▲You may see rainbow over the Mt.Oakan after raining.

▲At night, you can see reflection of the moon on the lake.

▲In winter, this spot turns into place to do ice fishing.

There is a port where people work around this area, so please do not enter to their zone. You can park a car near by the lake where you can find sign board of "lake Akan(阿寒湖)".

Tickets are available at the official website, hotels around Lake Akan, "Kamuy Lumina" Ticket Booth, and designated travel agencies.



Fees: Adults (junior high school students and older) 3000 yen / 3500 yen

Starting time changes depending on the sunset time. So be sure to check when planning your trip!
