Then, when the extremely cold season arrives, Lake Akan, which has a circumference of 25.9 km, begins to freeze.

Last year, the area was completely frozen in mid-January, and activities on the ice started.

On the completely frozen lake, there are many fun things to do only in winter.

Many people visit Lake Akan to experience the icy weather and activities that can only be found here.

Fun on the Ice

"Iceland Akan" is held every winter at Lake Akan, where you can enjoy smelt fishing, snowmobiles/buggy rides, banana boats, ice scating and more.

Lake Akan is a place where everyone from children to adults can play to the fullest in winter.

On the frozen Lake Akan scenary is colorfully decorated with smelt fishing tents.

There are tents for large groups equipped with wood-burning stoves, and small tents for 2-3 people, so you can choose according to your preference.
